Hello! This is Joanne from Hong Kong Branch, leader of Well-being team of Social Value and Well-being Committee (SVWC) since FY2022.

Today, corsages are most commonly seen at company activities, proms, and any formal events. Have you ever thought about applying the value of SDGs into the corsages?

In October 2023, SMTB Hong Kong Branch held a party with some external VIPs to celebrate our 10^th anniversary. It is a good opportunity for us to support the social enterprise / NGOs organization.

Finally, we have connected with a local floral shop, called Rinato Eco Floral Shop. It is a local social enterprise under Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (“TWGHs”).

TWGHs is the oldest and largest charitable organization in Hong Kong since 1870, while it provides extensive education and community services through 194 service centers spread across Hong Kong.

For Rinato Eco Floral Shop, it has commenced operation since June 2016, which is funded by ‘Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities (PWDs) through Small Enterprise’ Project of the Social Welfare Department.

Rinato Eco Floral Shop connects the hearing impaired person with the society with flower, so as to enhance social inclusion. Meanwhile, environmental protection is also one of the aims of the shop.
