As part of our SDGs efforts, the NY Branch partnered with the Coalition for the Homeless to provide backpacks filled with necessities to those in need.

In recent years, homelessness in New York City has reached the highest levels since the Great Depression of the 1930s. In January 2022, there were 48,413 homeless people, including 15,057 homeless children, sleeping each night in New York City’s main municipal shelter system.

A near-record 18,749 single adults slept in shelters each night in January 2022. Those in shelters lack access to everyday daily household items.

All backpacks were packed by employees and contained items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, hand warmers, socks, water bottles, gloves, hats, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

Thanks to our amazing employees we packed 3,000 backpacks!
