Hi, this is Kiyomi. I am in charge of SDGs activities at the Singapore branch.
The POSB PAssion Kids Fund aims to support children in the community through development programmes in Singapore. Since the fund’s inception, they have supported some 867,000 children, including beneficiaries from low-income families, children with disabilities, and youths at risk, through more than 218 programmes that contribute towards social capital and community development.
Every year, POSB organizes a Run for Kids event, and the participation fees go toward this fund. Singapore Branch has been supporting this event for many years. (The Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) has been operating as part of DBS Bank since November 16, 1998)
For the event, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year 2022、they organized the first-ever hybrid run which comprises sustainable and fun activities such as plogging and beach clean-up. A total 58 staff and their family members cleaned up the beach at East coast park.
This year 2023, Singapore’s largest charity “Run for kids” returned as a fully physical event! The theme this year was “Kids Run the World”. There were different race categories, including a non-competitive 3.5km Family Walk as well as a solo competitive and team competitive categories. 74 staff and their family members participated on that day.
It was still dark when participants gathered for the 10km run.

This year, over 9,000 people showed up, and together we managed to raise a total of S$1,240,000! Thanks to everyone’s incredible support! Looking forward to the Run for kids next year 2024!
