Hello, this is Meng Yee from NY.

As part of our SDG efforts, Meng Yee, a member of the Branch’s Information Risk Governance Department organized an event with the Community Boathouse Organization.

Eight employees attended the event on Saturday, April 13, 2024 to help reconstruct a former industrial storage area for reuse as a public water access and kayaking site for the underserved community of Arverne, Queens.

Employee cleaning efforts included collecting over 30 contractor bags of garbage, left-over construction materials, and the removal of hundreds of pounds of debris that littered the preserve grounds.

The site covers several acres of land along the Barbados Basin. We are so proud of our employees for accomplishing such an amazing task for the local community to enjoy the outdoor space!
