Hi, this is Kiyomi. I am in charge of SDGs activities at the Singapore branch.

From 23-30 August 2024, a total of 61 branch staff volunteered at Willing Hearts, a charity organisation that we have been supporting since last year. Willing Hearts cooks and prepares approximately 7,000 meals every day, 365 days a year, for the elderly, people with disabilities, low-income families, single parents, children from poverty-stricken families, and migrant workers, and distributes meals to more than 70 communities across the country.

I would like to share our volunteer activities with you.

During the volunteer period, 6-8 people participated in the activities in the morning or afternoon shifts. As it was just before the Mid-Autumn Festival, some groups made mooncakes.

Looks delicious!

We do gardening too!

Sorting the delivered food

We pack meals to be distributed and make sandwiches using leftover bread from bakeries and supermarkets, then pack them in bags.

Everyone is smiling even though there is a lot of washing up to do!

The sales of the handmade mooncakes and dried meat (Bak kwa) will be used to install an elevator in the facility, so many of our staff bought the mooncakes and dried meat in the hope of helping Willing Hearts and contributed a total of S$1,046. The Singapore branch will continue to contribute to society through Willing Hearts.
