Hello everyone! This is Morris Ho from Hong Kong Branch.

Social Value and Well-being Committee (SVWC) of Hong Kong Branch has organized many different kinds of SDGs activities in FY2022, and we appreciated all the supports from Branch Management and the contributions from our dearest colleagues. We have successfully covered several new SDGs through various activities, such as #3 Good Health and Well-being, #11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, #12 Responsible Consumption and Production, #14 Life Below Water and #15 Life on Land.

Apart from organizing such SDGs activities with the participation by our staff, money support to charitable organization is also important from the aspect of corporate social responsibility in a society. Through the fundraising project, the charitable organization can make use of such monetary resources for covering and organizing large scale of social events to take care of more people in need.

Therefore, this year SVWC of Hong Kong Branch would like to continue our donation to The Community Chest of Hong Kong through the coordination of The Hong Kong Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, as what we did in last fiscal year, in order to sustain our commitment and dedication to our corporate social responsibility.

As introduced last year, The Community Chest of Hong Kong is a corporation established under The Community Chest of Hong Kong Ordinance in 1968. It covers six major areas of charitable services: children & youth, elderly, family & child welfare, medical & health, rehabilitation & aftercare, and community development, making every effort to contribute to a better Hong Kong.

As a corporation in Hong Kong, we hope that we can do as much as we can, and help the disadvantaged as much as we can, through different kinds of support. We believe that, “Together, we can give hope to the underprivileged and people in need!”
