Hi, this is Morgan from the Americas Division in New York.

On October 26, 2023 Executive Vice President, Toshiyuki Saito, hosted an SDG activity for Reforestation. 38 employees attended the event to plant Colorado blue spruce saplings, which are native to the Northeast.

Each participant planted three saplings in the office and were asked to take them home to plant for a local impact. Additionally, we donated seven trees to One Tree Planted per participant to plant in NY. There was a total of 380 trees planted to make a long-standing carbon impact in the environment!　　

The event is in support of One Tree Planted, which is a nonprofit dedicated to combating climate change by planting trees worldwide. Since their establishment, they have been dedicated to making it easier for both individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity, and help reforestation efforts.

They have planted over 92.7 million trees in more than 80 countries across the globe since 2014. In 2022, they more than doubled their impact from 2021 – with 52.7 million trees!
