Hi, this is Morgan from the Americas Division in New York.

On December 13^th, 2023 Mr. Kajihara, General Manager of GBU, hosted an SDG activity Wine to Water. 32  employees attend the event to support the need for access to clean water, basic sanitation, and hygiene resources. Each participant built water filters and the filters were then mailed to the areas that need clean water the most, such as Morocco to support the earthquake damage, Maui to support the wildfire damage, and Gaza Strip for humanitarian issues.  

Wine To Water is a global nonprofit preserving life and dignity through the power of clean water. Since it was founded in 2004, over 1.8 million people have gained access to safe and clean water. While developing water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions in direct partnership with local leaders, it creates an impact beyond water. This impact includes environmental sustainability, improved education, women’s empowerment, better healthcare, and economic growth. It is active in Nepal, the Dominican Republic, the Amazon, Tanzania, and the US where they provide ongoing support for customized, sustainable water treatment systems and processes. In addition, Wine To Water is actively performing disaster relief support both domestically and abroad.

A total of 100 filters were made providing clean water to 1,000 people for at least 10 years.
